the floodlight theatre company mission statement it is our mission to impact audiences through imaginative theatrical works that seek to illuminate the ineffable |
the floodlight theatre company history as the floodlight theatre company, we have, as yet, very little history to mention. our founders did have a previous company, screaming idiots productions, that spawned the artistically successful but financially disastrous production of a five person adaptation of a midsummer night's dream in the year two-thousand. several months after that show closed, a collection of theatre artists banded together out of the crowded house theatre group, and we began in early oh-one to discuss becoming a production company in order to produce the original plays being developed in the cht monthly meetings. out of that collection of desperate artists evolved the floodlight theatre company. floodlight itself has produced a workshop production of joseph frost's DisEase, with stacey isom's California Dreamin' and sponsored the Spring Arbor University production of joseph frost's The Great Play at the 2003 CITA conference in virginia beach. also, floodlight sponsored the staged reading of the memory trilogy in oh-four. since then, the company has cocooned, and is ready to re-emerge in oh-eight. check out our brief photo history... |
